Thanks to all who came and supported the Div 2's at their GF, it really was appreciated by everyone. Seeing the amazing sea of purple in the stands at Wayville was one thing, but hearing you all was even better!

 

In what was a messy, yet close and very competitive game, the girls went down to Woodville who just out-played them on the night.

 

The scoreline at 1/4 time of 11-7 was indicative it was going to be tough going all night for both teams with strong defense dominating the play throughout.

 

The final score 42 - 49 didn't show the closeness of the game, with only 50 seconds remaining Flinders were down 43-41 and the game could have gone either way. A tough 'unsportsmanlike' foul call against Rhoni MacFarlane proved the turning point with Flinders then chasing from there on in.

 

Well done to the girls on what was an extremely successful season proving that age certainly can come before beauty (or should that be with??) .
